Martin Wishart has created a new fine dining restaurant in Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond side, at the invitation of the Directors of the De Vere Group.
A core team of senior chefs and waiters fully trained in the Edinburgh restaurant have moved West to create the new business. The dining room itself has had a complete makeover by Martin Wishart house designer Ian Smith.
The idea has been to create an elegant and stylish, but relaxed and calming environment where guests can feel at ease. Encouraging them to be fully open to the fine dining experience, at the same time enjoying the spectacular mountainside beauty of Loch Lomond.
Lunch and Dinner is served on Saturdays and Sundays but only Dinner from Wednesday to Friday. This allows the team generous preparation time and now Martin, who closely directs the work at Loch Lomond with his head chef Stewart Boyles, has a laboratory to try out ideas and new signature creations. And all with the delicious irony that this is very same kitchen in which Martin spent time learning his trade as a junior chef.
