When you spend a day at the new COOK SCHOOL BY MARTIN WISHART you are being invited to experience a custom designed environment, where you will feel relaxed and ready to enjoy the highest level of professional tuition.

Located in Bonnington Road and only five minutes walk from the main Edinburgh Restaurant, the Cook School is easy to get to in the centre of Leith.

There are only eight work stations and the small classes allow plenty of opportunity for individual attention, as you work through the day.

You will learn how to select the finest ingredients from the best local farmers and growers, and then the techniques of making each component taste as amazing as possible. Students are encouraged to begin tasting the food at every stage of the cooking process, and begin to think imaginatively about how individual flavours will complement one another in the final dish. That is how a professional chef thinks, and mastering this improvisational approach helps students improve their cooking in an instinctive and natural way.

And it’s not all work and no play, as you begin the day with coffee and croissants, sit down with a glass of wine to enjoy the lunch you have prepared and get to know all your fellow students.
